Shantanu Chakraborty is a postdoc writing fellow working with Dr. David Rey and Prof. Travis Waller. His research interests include traffic flow modelling with analytical dynamic traffic assignment models, incentive based travel demand management and effects of autonomous and shared autonomous vehicles on travel demand.
He graduated from UNSW PhD (Transport) , the Indian Institute of Technology Madras with Master of Science (Transport Research) and Visvesvaraya Technological University with Bachlor of Engineering (Civil) degree. Apart from academia, he is voluntarily associated with the Art of Living organization providing coping mechanisms for depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and improving mental health and overall well-being of an individual. He is a martial artist trained in Aikido and Hapkido and a vocalist trained in Indian classical music.
