2017 ITEANZ Awards

At the ITEANZ Award ceremony held on 28 February 2017, two of the rCITI team were awarded prizes on their thesis. 

  • Kasun Wijayaratna was presented the Sidra Solutions Postgraduate Award. This award is to recognise a postgraduate student who has completed high quality research in the field of traffic engineering, and shows potential to make a significant contribution to the profession.
  • Navreet Virdi was presented the GHD Undergraduate Student Award. This award was made on the basis of the most outstanding piece of individual work by an undergraduate student at a participating Australian or New Zealand university.

The winners of each award receives a plaque, travel to Melbourne to attend the award ceremony at the ITEANZ Annual Breakfast Meeting and a monetary prize.
