SeyedHossein Hosseini
Dr Seyed Hossein Hosseini is a Researcher at the Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (rCITI) in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering (socio-economic systems engineering) from the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, University of Tehran, in January 2016 with a focus on systems modelling and model-based policy analysis. He also received his MSc in the same field from the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology.
His research and teaching are focused on systems thinking and modelling approaches to analyse complex socio-technical and socio-environmental problems. During the past years, he has used systems modelling (especially System Dynamics simulation) in theory, technique, and application through several projects in academia, industry and the public sector. He uses interdisciplinary and participatory approaches to inform policy interventions that can help achieve targets under future scenarios.
